4 days in Sydney
The world's best harbour and a beach for every mood. A 4-day plan.
Sydney lives outdoors. Ferries cross a sparkling harbour, coastal walks link golden beaches, and the food scene draws on Asia, the Mediterranean and Australia's own produce.
Day by day
Day 1: The harbour
Tour the Opera House, walk the Botanic Garden, explore The Rocks and walk across the Harbour Bridge.
Day 2: Bondi to Coogee
Walk the coastal path and swim at an ocean pool.
Day 3: Manly
Take the ferry to Manly and snorkel at Shelly Beach.
Day 4: The Blue Mountains
Take a day trip to see the Three Sisters and eucalyptus valleys.
Make it work

Short on time, or staying longer?
With less time, keep the first days and skip the day trip. With more, add a slower day for a neighbourhood from our best areas to stay, or choose more from the full list of things to do.
Opening days and times change, and some sights close one day a week. Check before you go. Last reviewed October 2026.
